Overall, fans of Cap, the Invaders, and the Avengers will love this issue, especially those who have been following along from the beginning. That said, this reviewer left with a few questions. What does Charles Xavier have to do with all of this? Is he poking around in Namors head? Could he be the mastermind behind all of this? And, could this all tie together with Hickmans run coming up? Zdarksy has mastered writing Namor’s rightful rage. Namor is the type of villain you root for, for me at least, because I know a lot of fans dislike him. For me, this is a better Cap book than what Coates is writing in Cap’s main ongoing. It did seem like a stretch though that Namor would decapitate Jim with no hesitation like that though.

Intense. This is how I can describe this issue. It's very well-written, smart, and not a quickest read. Great artwork only adds up to the experience. This is definitely one of the best book's that Marvel is currently publishing.

THE GOOD: -Guice's art is good, Magno's is not. You know the drill. -That opening scene was really good. -The characters are written incredibly well here. -We're in the endgame now. This story is reaching its climax and it is nothing but epic. -Namor is such an amazing character. -Jim vs. Namor was such an amazing fight. -This issue was so cinematic. I love it. -Holy crap. That ending. THE BAD: -Carlos Magno's art is still really weak. Captain America looks awful.

I have been a fan of the Invaders from way back and have found some of this series to be good. This issue for me, however, is the worst. Up to now, the Torch has been very much a secondary character (not even listed on the cover); but (spoiler alert) Namor beheading him made this issue a loss for me. Did the writer look at anything written about the Torch previously? It seems like years of building up and enriching his character was forgotten (or never known) when planning this series. I realize the series has been canceled and my rant will fall on deaf ears...but ugh!
