The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren

I'm sure I left something out, especially with how many words I devoted to some small scenes, pagewise, but this was just a great issue and definitely gave the story the kick in the pants it needed as the supposed tournament was turning into a yawn fest with a bunch of talking heads. Great stuff all around. Read Full Review

Say what you want about this issue, it got me very excited for the climax next issue. Nine-part stories (counting the Annual and the Green Mist one-shot) are deeply inadvisable, but "Seven Capital Cities..." has never once felt like it dragged. This is as close to a down issue as it's likely to get, and even then it's still a competent effort with more than a few redeeming qualities. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Timothy Callahan

I know the realities of comic book production require fill-in artists, and I know Aja was unable to produce pages because of personal matters (his wife recently had a baby, apparently), but when this story arc is collected in a fancy hardcover, this particular chapter will remain as a blemish on an otherwise exemplary story. Weekly Comic Book Review - J. Montes

And Xao? What started off as a ruthless villain has now become somewhat of a parody. Sure, he's good at threatening, but it's very telling when his prisoners (Luke Cage and company) don't take him seriously. And when I finally got to the last page, I laughed out loud. A poignant cliffhanger that's proper to this entire story line. Kick their ass, Danny! Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Rokk Krinn

Iron Fist #13 was another solid issue. Brubaker and Fraction have done a good job setting the table for what should be an action packed issue with Iron Fist #14. I think that Iron Fist has enough quality character work and dialogue to appeal to fans that don't normally enjoy action themed comic books. Iron Fist is certainly a quality product that is worth checking out. Read Full Review
