MOTHER'S DAY SPECIAL?
One of Iron Man's greatest regrets was his inability to save his mother's life. Iron Man dons new armor, an oni mask and twin plasma katanas on his quest to make his long list of regrets one item shorter. For his mom, he becomes the all-new IRON SHOGUN. This episode is set in the '90s era of Iron Man comics and, just like every other episode, is ideal for new readers as a jumping-on point for the series.

I Am Iron Mancontinues to be an excellent and loving anthology series rife with both celebrations and vivid explorations of the Iron Man mythos. This issue stands out as the most story rich, but not necessarily the most thematically deep. However, that trade off makes for an issue with more relatable emotional impact. Read Full Review

I do enjoy the work that Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akande are bringing to life here, but I feel like even the individual installments of the series need a bit more of a direction. Read Full Review

I Am Iron Man #3 contains tons of heart sure to pull at your heartstrings just in time for Mother's Day, and the art is excellent. That said, the plot is a confusing mess up to the halfway mark, and after the mystery is clarified, the confusion is replaced by massive plot holes. Read Full Review

I'm not quite convinced by the idea that this issue represents an exact period in Iron Man comics, but I liked this anyway. It's heartfelt. JOIN THE DISCORD: https://discord.gg/xJz6buvNFZ MY PHYSICAL COLLECTION (FOR SHOWING OFF): https://psycamorean.libib.com/

It's a sweet, heartwarming premise. It's nicely folded over at the beginning to provide an in media res start and complicate its explanation in a good way. The art's gorgeous and there're even some good jokes along the way. It's so well-crafted that I can ignore the unanswered question of why Mojo got the whole ball rolling. By the time plot holes show up, the consistent thematic work tying Tony's memories to the contemporary story makes them irrelevant.
