AYODELE and AKANDE continue their tour through IRON MAN's history in the second issue of this 60th Anniversary celebratory series.
Set during ARCHIE GOODWIN's classic era of Iron Man comics, Iron Man finds himself at the bottom of the ocean. It's dark down there, the pressure is maddening and giant sharp teeth stalk the shadows. How will Iron Man survive when nature itself wants him dead?
Every issue of I AM IRON MAN is ideal for new readers and is a jumping-on point!

I AM IRON MAN #2is an unconventional yet magical approach to understanding, dissecting, and exploring Tony Stark and his mythos. Managing both whimsy and philosophical seriousness, I cannot recommend this book to Shellhead fans more than I already have. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez

I Am Iron Man #2 attempts to spin an allegory about fighting against your body, but the story is clunky, inconsistent, and downright nonsensical at points. The art looks great, but whatever message the writers intended to convey gets lost in translation. Read Full Review

Iron Man saving the people of Norway from an asteroid was awesome. I love the relationship between Tony and Big Fred and hope we see him again 🥹

What a weird comic. Somehow, I both don't know what it's all about and do know. One thing is for sure, the art is gorgeous. I love it so much

This weird little premise is a much better fit for the creators' storytelling style than the timey-wimey mess of the previous issue. The measured pace and minimalist art make it easy to really soak in the oddity of telepathic mutant fish. There are a few sharp insights into Iron Man's character, too. Even if the rest of the series doesn't reach this high-water mark, this issue is a memorably strange standalone.

This is a weirdo issue, and it's not really for me. But I can see the skill behind it, if that makes sense. Join my Discord, if you want to chat about comics or whatever: https://discord.gg/xJz6buvNFZ

Понял, но соглашаюсь с комментом, что способ донесения мысли очень неуклюжий. А тут вся история строится на метафоре, кроме которой ничего особо то и нет, не считая красивого рисунка.
