    AIPT - David Brooke

Similar to the last "Infinite Destinies" annual, this book stands alone as a great one-shot but is elevated by the fact that it enriches past and present stories. Guardians of the Galaxy Annual 2021 is a surefire hit if you like superhero stories that are worth plenty of chuckles. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Charles Hartford

When all is said and done, Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1 brings a fantastic, light-hearted tale at its center, and follows it up with a strong secondary piece that continues the connective tissue of the Infinite Destinies one-shots. Read Full Review

As for the backup story, Jed Mackay handles these 5-pages extremely well. Additionally, I think it's safe to believe Mackay would do a phenomenal job writing Nick Fury and other super-spies in action if given the future opportunity. I was initially a bit skeptical in thinking there could be enough story with only five pages but theres an interesting anecdote in the making here. I might get the rest of the Infinite Destinies books just to get the other parts of Infinite Fury. This is truly what a backup story is supposed to do people. Read Full Review

There is always a place for humor and parody in comics, but this book is so poorly done that it feels like a waste of everyone's time and threatens to derail the entire crossover. Read Full Review
