Most of this first issue is spent getting to know the current Foolkiller, Greg Salinger. Greg is a psychotherapist who is counseling a troubled youth who was modeling himself after the Red Skull. Through Greg's internal monologue we get to know his own internal struggles as he's coming to grips with his new life, and the challenge of keeping his old life as Foolkiller at bay. The writing and art compliment each other quite well and the ending had me guessing about just where this book is headed next. Because of the current Deadpool series and my dislike for Solo, I was about to pass this series by. This is a series that will be a great read for all Marvel fans, but mostly those who are looking for something new. The first issue has some good and it has some bad and as a first issue I want to come back and see what's next. The big thing for me going forward is how this series sets itself apart from the group of comics it orbits in. So far, they all feel a bit too similar and lack that special something. Don't know much about this character but this issue sold me on Foolkiller. Great writing, humor, and introduction to the series.

A really unique series, didn't expect much from this but was very surprised by the premise, direction and content (knowing almost nothing about the character prior to the series). I'd recommend this to anyone looking for something a bit different from Marvel.

Damn, I wasn't expecting Foolkiller to be this good. The characters are compelling and the artwork is spot-on with great layouts.

FoolKiller is an interesting mix of Punisher and Dexter. The superhero version of a guy compelled to kill people that are a problem to society is an interesting one. It is hard to say if this will continue to be catching since it so early on but there is promise here. The art had a fitting style. The writing is the stand out for this so far I think.

Not a bad introduction of a pretty old character for any new readers. Like me, for example. That's really the first time I see Foolkiller in comics. I found out about this series after watching the last season of Jessica Jones. So far the comic is not bad at all. Not a masterpiece, though... It has a vibe of those comedy Marvel Now comics like Ant-Man and Superior Foes of Spider-Man, but it's not that great as they were.
