Unless something drastically different and tricky is presented, I have to admit I was wrong about Doom. His reason for staying really may have been sacrifice. While valiant, and for all the right reasons, I cannot help but feel bad. This issue directly connects to the events in Fantastic Four #602, which stars the adults of this large family cast. Hickman has maintained the identity of the FF and has made it an unmissable companion to the returned Fantastic Four series. The pacing was good. This book is a lot of fun. It's nice to see the kids take on so much responsibility but still act like kids. It doesn't feel stuffy or uptight, it feels like kids trying to save the world and it is really cute. The ending will leave you wanting more. All this said, Sosa and Sotomayor once again do incredible work and do their best to salvage the art. Sotomayor's colors are absolutely brilliant, full of life and charm, while Sosa's thick inking is loaded with character. These are two names I'll definitely keep an eye out for in future. Bobillo's artwork does its damndest to work against Hickman's script and was the only thing keeping this book from an A-grade. Read Full Review
