Fantastic Four #644

This issue doesn't lack for excitement or spectacle. Leonard Kirk has somehow achieved a new level of visual flair with his refined, larger-than-life pencils. He's definitely helping the series go out with a bang. Read Full Review

All in all Fantastic Four #644 was an epic read. Seeing everything coming together and the characters fighting it out for the fate of the world just makes me excited for more Fantastic Four stories even though there won't be any for a while. This month's installment, in comparison, doesn't really move forward the plot as much as it probably should. By the final page we've not moved horizontally as much as slightly vertical. That isn't to say that there isn't any progression at all. Quite the opposite, in fact, as with the previous issue there is a bunch more emphasis put on the character work. Read Full Review

As the comic nears the climax, it's great to see all the characters united and the villains standing revealed. There is still a sense of overwhelming odds, which is nice for the story momentum. The art has its strengths, of course, but the finishes and colors appear rushed and disrupt the flow. In most ways, for good or for ill, it's just what you'd expect for a story in its penultimate chapter, making this a fun and maybe slightly above average comicbook. Read Full Review

Very solid issue. Kirk is killing it with these issues. The lead up to the end has been pretty action packed and exciting. I just hope the ending lives up to the hype.
