Fantastic Four #13

For people who just pick up this issue, its a fun read and has great setup for a good Fantastic Four story. For Doctor Doom fans, this is one of the few issues that shows how awesome of a villain he is. Overall this is a defenite must read for any Marvel fans out there who have or haven't read a Fantastic Four book. Read Full Review

The comic still carries its familiar "The World's Greatest Comic Magazine" tagline on the cover, and while that's a questionable claim in the literal sense, it serves a reminder to any writer or artist who touches this series that they have Galactus-sized shoes to fill. In "Fantastic Four" #13, it's clear that the creators of this particular issue have most certainly strived to do their best to live up to it. Read Full Review

Again, the diminished humor is a concern, with only a brief scene between Johnny Storm and Bentley "Wiz-Kid" Whitman offering any real levity. But this issue doesn't necessarily call for that approach considering the darker nature of the conflict. We'll see if the remaining few issues can invoke more laughs, or if it's all grim and serious from here on out. Read Full Review

Fantastic Four #13 is the weakest of the current run. The plot is messy and the dialogue isn't to the caliber it should be. The art is great but suffers from being inconsistent. I've had enough of the current pairing on the book, I look forward to the next team. Read Full Review
