Wiccan shines in this issue. He's been marked and is dying, but there's a way he can save himself - but only if he goes with somebody who claims to be Merlin. He's dead though, so we're not sure what's going on. This has been used as the bait to hook us onto the third issue in December. It's worked anyway, because we'll return to this series. Weird Science - Reggie Hemingway

Some talk-laden meandering and a rather flat ending are the low points that keep this book from being the exciting mystical romp it could be. The assembled team is pretty interesting, however, and each has their own back story that I will be curious to learn about. There are certainly less-deserving comic books out there that get more notice, but I'd say that only serious fans of Doctor Strange need apply here. Read Full Review

A pure delight. An action-packed issue of magic in motion. I hope this series continues because I really am enjoying it.

Rodriquez has a style that is perfect for Doctor Strange. The psychedelic, old school designs fit in with the story perfectly. The story caries a lot of action that does not get you board. We are also starting to get some character building, showing what is sacrificed in order to oppose the threat that Merlin has found. It is a very pleasing series, I am just not sure yet if there is story beyond stopping the villain that I want to read. It does seem worth another issue to make that choice.
