Two absolute banger issues from Jed MacKay in this week and I'm here for it. While this wasn't quite as strong as Avengers #7, this was still really well-written and I'm super into this story right now. The strongest part of this, for me, was the ongoing conversation between Doctor Strange and General Strange throughout their fight, which was also really cool in its own right. Plus, Ferry is putting out some of his best work on this series to date, in my opinion. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this current story concludes with the next issue.

The artwork continues to impress. Pasqual Ferry produces great visuals to portray the magical elements of Doctor Strange. The figures are distinct and the colors vivid. The panels burn across the pages to give a sense of the combat between Doctor Strange and General Strange. As an issue, it is a set piece and feels like it’s setting up for the finale rather than moving the story. In many ways, the dialogue between Doctor and General is the most engaging element. Clea runs a good subplot and WAND are working in the background. Visually a great issue. There are powerful forces in play and a great deal to happen in the final issue.

I'm not liking this entire run. I had such hope since Jed McKay is writing Moon Knight and Avengers, though I'm about to drop Avengers too. The whole idea of a General Strange is just not good and doesn't make for a good story much less an entire issue filled with one big fight scene. I wasn't a fan of the art either.
