Deadpool #26

Hey, do you like laughing or even smiling? Yeah? Cool, then you're probably going to really, really like this issue. Sure, comedy is subjective and all that, but I'm having a seriously tough time imagining anyone who wouldn't have a blast with this issue. Duggan and Posehn deliver comedy gold and Koblish and Staples do a tremendous job selling each and every joke. Who would have thought a story about Hitler could be filled with so much joy? Scott Koblish and Val Staples commit to the throwback look of this book completely. The idea is that this is a lost issue of "Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos" and the art embraces that. The pages look worn and faded. The color bleeds at times and the whole comic has a tinge of yellow decay. It's gorgeous stuff. There are moments when the storytelling is a little choppy and it's hard to tell how one set of characters moved across the scene, but it's nothing that'll stop you from enjoying the issue. This is a truly great issue of Deadpool. This truly is an issue that is what it is " pure insane fun. I can think of no better advert for Gerry Duggan and Brian Posehn's run on Deadpool, which makes it all the more bizarre that this wasn't chosen as the .NOW issue. Read Full Review

I have never cried reading a comic before due to laughing so hard. I began to get my partner in on the joke (she doesn't laugh at stuff like this) and she began to crack a smile and proceeded to read this issue, even though she doesn't like my comic choices. I love stories like this, and this issue actually ties into another part of the Deadpool universe which made me smile. I wish the laws of mathematics were different, so I could rate over a 100%. Pick this issue up, no matter what your choices are this week.
