The artwork is as gritty as the story, and the figure we see at the end is genuinely maniacal. There's splashes of red that simplyhas to be bloody injuries, it's chilling. His image suits the character of somebody who'd perform these atrocious attacks though, so the artist has done a bloody good job. Read Full Review

That balancing act, between high minded moral quandaries and twisted villainy recalls Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr.'s iconic run on Daredevil. I do like the central conceit of the Dark Art story so far. Its a pretty original idea by Soule and takes Daredevil in a direction that isnt overly familiar. Im interested in where Soule and Garney go with this. Although its hardly a perfect issue, much of it is a moody and engaging story, highlighted by strong artwork. Hopefully, Soule and Garney have an even more creative direction for this now that we have met Daredevils foe. Read Full Review

As for the mysterious villain, it appears he was just getting started with the blood painting. A new macabre work of art is discovered involving the bodies of several people positioned in a full scale diorama. It's still unclear just what the artist is after. Publicity? Flaunting the police (and Daredevil's) inability to capture him? Or something more? As for Matt Murdock's day job, it will be interesting to see how far a man respecting justice above all else may be pushed before something eventually breaks. Worth a look. Read Full Review

There's not a lot of action this go round. This issue seems to primarily focus on trying to strengthen the plot. While there is so much that you could do with this story, I feel like I'm a little underwhelmed with what is presented here. The art is not bad but I am starting to think that the Daredevil costume itself is starting to bother me a little. There just doesn't seem to be anything that stands out to me about it like in previous costumes. It's just kind of there. I would like to see the story and action pick up some next issue. While I am trying to remain patient and optimistic, I feel like the flames need to get turned up on this one. Read Full Review

This series is not bringing anything exciting and this issue especially is a lot of nothing happening. I think it’s time for a creative team shuffle up. This is a great mystery, this actually crosses into Batman / Joker type villainy. This might be the best story arc in this series so far, I hope it takes us for a wild ride.

Soule writes the dialogue and narration so perfectly and theirs never to little or too much. He does this so well that even though not too much happened this issue, Daredevil 11 had such a nice flow and I couldn’t help but getting immersed into Matt’s world. Ron Garney’s art dits this creepy story amazingly

I've not been the biggest fan of this series to date. However this issue struck gold for me. IT was the Matt Murdock and Daredevil that I personally expect. His relationship with Foggy returning to the series couldn't have come at a better time. The story was both grounded in the day to day activity of New York, blended in with the current world-wide terrigen mist crisis and the superhero mystery that we know will lead somewhere amazing. I almost dropped this series but glad I didn't and was able to pick up this issue and read it and enjoy it.

I really enjoyed all this series has done so far (excluding that terrible annual) and this issue is not as good in terms of entertainment as the previous ones. It's still, however, a great read. The art is as beautiful as ever and the sinister story is rather tempting. Recommended.

This shift to a Criminal Minds type of story is intriguing, villains like this are typically Batman territory, but it fits exceptionally well with Daredevil. Can't the police seize the painting as evidence in a crime? I don't get why they're struggling with that.
