    A young Warren Ellis and a small crowd of clearly overtaxed artists keep the transition away from Chichester from feeling too abrupt by turning in an story as edgy as it is absolutely incoherent

    This was insane. I really like Arvell Jones and Keith Pollard's art, but Ellis' writing is borderline incomprehensible. Matt Murdock dresses up in a lawyer's suit and beats up a bunch of cops. The NYPD deserve worse, but Matt's inner monologue during all of this literally makes no sense and in his suit he looks absolutely ridiculous. Maybe Warren Ellis always kind of sucked. This was violent, full of self-loathing on Daredevil's part, and obscenely edgy. It's in response to the preceding arc, but it is still a terrible way to follow-up on what happened there and was a real bummer of a read overall. And, also, knowing what happened in that arc, Matt is basically overreacting. He's been through so much worse so this behaviour feels co more
