  (Cover Date: November, 1987) Summary: DD races against the skateboarding Fat Boys. Karen shows Matt her new free clinic. Matt listens in to Karen's phone call with a man whose landlord is trying to force him out. Matt tells her that he is through with the law. Later, DD breaks up an argument between the man & the landlord. Matt rescues a boy from a pond who is blinded by chemical waste in the pond. Matt sees a tanker truck leaving the area. Foggy tells Glori that he will defend the Kelco chemical plant against its pollution charges. Kelco is owned by the Kingpin. DD sneaks into Kelco to investigate & is attacked by a robot, which he destroys. Later, Matt gives a statement to a police officer with the boy & his father present. He loses cr edibility when the officer notices that he is blind. Bushwhacker breaks into an apartment & murders a young mutant woman. He returns home to his wife & gets angry at her when she finds his bullets under the bed. Wolverine finds the dead mutant's body & swears to kill Bushwhacker. Matt researches Kelco's affiliates at city records. Matt returns to the clinic & sees the renter, who has been roughed up because of DD's involvement. He tells the renter that he will help him from a legal standpoint. Bushwhacker's wife shows up at the clinic. She tells Matt that she needs help to protect her husband, since someone wants to kill him. Comments: Another Wolverine guest appearance in this era to boost sales. more
