Oct 29, 2025I loved so much about Cloak or Dagger #1, and it's all thanks to the creative team. The stakes were high, the devastation from the X-Virus was real, and the action was top notch! Read Full Review

Oct 29, 2025Cloak or Dagger #1 is a great first issue that establishes the new status quo for Cloak and Dagger as part of the "Age of Revelation event. Often mutant adjacent characters, Cloak and Dagger now find themselves firmly situated in the latest major X-Men franchise wide event. Hopefully Cloak and Dagger leading their own mini series, as well as their newfound popularity following their inclusion in the video game Marvel Rivals, will lead to Marvel giving Tyrone and Tandy their own ongoing series after the conclusion of "Age of Revelation event, regardless of Tyrone and Tandy will remain as X-Men characters once the event has wrapped up. Oct 29, 2025This twist puts the two in a situation that the two arent used to being in, but being tragically entwined isnt new. Justinas an unknown to me, but shes really set up an interesting status for our heroes. Mix in Lorenzo Tammettas slick work, youve got a stone cold winner! Read Full Review

Nov 05, 2025Writer Justina Ireland and artist Lorenzo Tammetta have prepared a solid, worthwhile package here, with the latters art especially fantastic. Its soft and almost painterly in spots, with Andrew Dalhouses gentle colors reflecting the delicate situation the characters find themselves in. Even if youre much of an X-Men fan, Cloak or Dagger #1 is worth checking out. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez
Oct 29, 2025Cloak Or Dagger #1 has the pacing of a speeding bullet, but trips on every line of dialog like a toddler chasing a soccer ball. The comic sets up a world dying for a showdown with Doug Ramsey but never delivers, serving up Fenris Twins mayhem as a consolation prize. At least the art sells the crisis, even when the writing insists on tickle tickle instead of tickling brains. Read Full Review

The Comic Book Spot - Jack Stewardson
Nov 02, 2025Ultimately, there's not much going on here that you wouldn't find in any of the other "Age of Revelation titles. The twist on Cloak and Dagger's powers isn't nearly as exciting or tragic as the book would have you believe, especially because as far as I'm concerned, none of this is canon anyways. That being said, the art does look good, albeit not ground breaking. Read Full Review
