Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze
Sep 04, 2019Sam Alexander getting his power back was worth the wait, and so was what we got out of Champions #9 too. This situation that the team now faces was perfect for the opportunity created to explore how this team can rise above what initially caused some of them to part ways. The heart put into this chapter was wonderful, and reminds us of what we will be missing from our Marvel books once this story concludes. Read Full Review

Black Nerd Problems - Chris Aiken
Sep 08, 2019Towards the end of Champions #23, things look dire than ever. However, for the first time in a long time, there seems to be some hope on the horizon. While Mephisto's games may have splintered the team, the series of events to follow just might make them stronger than ever. Another fun issue in the books for Champions, and some interesting development with plenty of the OG members of the team. The approach showdown for the next issue should be an exciting one. Comics: The Gathering - Charles Martin
Sep 04, 2019This issue of the Champions moves the whole volume toward a climax. It looks good and the seismic upheavals in the plot make dreadful sense. The scope is so wide and the developments are so rapid-fire, though, that there's little room to give anyone much of a distinctive voice.
