Ramos continues to do the Lord's work on art, we're seeing the team work and utilize one another in various elements outside of everyone's comfort zone which isn't easy to do with such powerhouses on a squad like this. Waid and Ramos find a great way to keep our young heroes challenged as well as figuring out solutions to the challenges. Read Full Review

This issue offers deep insight into many of the Champions, but always in a way that feels natural and organic rather than forced. And Waid always maintains a balance between lighthearted banter and bickering and deeper, darker drama (much of it surrounding Viv's tragic background). Read Full Review

After reading quite possibly one of the worst Marvel books in my recent memory, (Seriously, avoid U.S. Avengers at all costs) this was a much-needed reminder of what talent can accomplish. While it doesn't have the same weight that the previousissue brought, Champions is able to provide some awesome action and teambuilding in this issue and it really is a joy to read. I like seeing how thesecharacters interact with each other and seeing them take on the Atlanteans wasreally awesome. That said, we seem to be getting more of the same from thisbook right now. Champions #4 is a much more typical Marvel comic than the previous issue, and suffers because of it. The book's original direction may have been off-putting to some, but it was unique and could have opened new avenues for storytelling. Waid and Ramos may still achieve that, as the next issue's guest star has a built-in backdoor to reality, but the shift in #4 is jarring, and stands as an avoidable stumble in Champions‘ momentum. One of the very few books in Marvel's lineup that's consistently good. I don't know how Gwenpool is going to fit in but so far everything else works. I do admit that a scuffle with Atlanteans seemed a little random but hey it's a fun ride so far.

Still working out the kinks on the team each character vies for the leader position but only one is truly meant to lead. Plus next issue should be pretty awesome. Art of Ramos is amazing as always and fits this comic perfectly.

I always liked the relationship between Kamala, Miles, and Sam so I was nervous when I saw they would be leaving the Avengers. This series has shown that it was a good move. This issue shows the team having to work together to escape an imprisonment from Atlantean soldiers. They also work out who will lead the group since there are multiple members who could fit the role. The characters remain consistent with their solo titles. Mark Waid has also done a great job with capturing the age of the characters with ideals, humor, and dialog. There is an optimism created with the team that is really refreshing. You could even feel a bit of nostalgia since the stories resemble the type of tales that would come from Teen Titan and New Mutant stories from the past. The art goes back and forth for me but the cartoon like style is fitting for the title so I usually go with it. I look forward to more of this title. more

This series is a whole lot of fun, and the team members have great chemistry. I like that the issues are more or less self-contained, a rarity in today's comic world. Humberto Ramos style is a great fit for the vibe of this book. "Champions" is one to look out for.

Man did that feel forced. Everything bad about the first three issues had just been amplified to extreme levels here but I love how the women stand up for the terrosists
