The conclusion to this new arc, and the introduction to new superhero Snowguard is handled very effectively, allowing for some truly gorgeous fight-sequences & a breath-taking final page! The issue may have benefitting from an extra couple of pages to wrap up the Master's involvement in the plot, but the fight with Alpha Flight & Snowguard's debut are so fun this is very easily forgiven! This book earns a strong recommendation, especially at the end of its first arc. It's got everything a comics fan could ask for great characters, beautiful art, amazing action scenes, and sparkling dialogue. The one problem that I have with this issue is the same problem that I have with a lot of books. The arc is really short, and feels like it ends abruptly. Things get resolved in the end, but I feel like another issue or two would have serviced it better. It would have fleshed out some of the stuff individual characters were dealing with when the arc first started, and added more weight to the conflict with Alpha Flight. However, it's not enough to sour how well Zub writes the Champions or prevent you from enjoying the best superhero team in Marvel. Read Full Review

Champions #21 is a fun and action-packed issue with a compelling conflict with intriguing implications. This is an all-around strong issue giving the reader conflict and character, and Izaakse and Menyz do a good job on the art. This one earns a recommendation. Give it a read. Read Full Review

An unnecessary but HIGHLY satisfying Champions/Alpha Flight brawl goes down until the heroes figure out the Master is powering his glacier-building operation with imprisoned nature spirits. Amka makes a satisfying debut, and the creators earn considerable credit for presenting a genuinely intelligent hero-on-hero fight. This comic is also one of the few that dares to swing at a "Carol vs. Kamala post-CW2 confrontation" pitch. It scores a solid triple; in my opinion, this is just as well-done as Kamala's creator's swing in Ms. Marvel #28.

While this might be the best champions book to date with some of the best art coming out of it as well, this is sadly my last Champions book. I like the idea and it has gotten better, but it's still not what I was looking for.

This is why Zub’s Champions run is already better than Waid’s. Zub finished his opening arc in three issues, which would’ve taken Mark Waid a lot longer to do. In his opening arc, Jim Zub has already created on all new character, joined that character to the team, and gave the Champions a new villain for down the road. I didn’t like his Uncanny Avengers but Jim Zub, I’m impressed

Oh damn once more a fight between Ms.Mavel & Captain Marvel. What a new kind of stuff. At least at the end in no time they will team-up, and all wrong filling is once more under the carpet. And I really didn't like who Alpha Flight are written. That said there is some good. Wasp/Nadia was well used. And I like this new character. Viv & Nova was well used too. And I really laugh when Sasquatch & Snowbird (In bear form) try to arm hulk. And all the Miles part was really good. Cover - In link sadly ... And not bad 1.5/2 Writing - Yeah I will skip to the next one. Oh wait I have another champion story & little better. 2/3 Arts - Isaakse was less good than on is Uncanny avenger. Maybe he is already tired ? Still this is good. But not man y background ! 3/3 Feeling - Really mixed but in the wrong way. 1/2 more
