The end of Kamala's Law is enough for me, but this book pulls it off with joy, aplomb and some really good art. Add in the return of some long-missing members, and it's a winner even with the big cliffhanger ending. Read Full Review

Champions is not only the type of comic book we need right now, it is the type of gorgeous character-driven youthful series focused on real-life issues that we deserve. Champions #9 delivers a long-needed and well-earned win for Kamala Khan and the whole team, finally settling the "Outlawed" arc in a wholly satisfying manner. It looks terrific and the characters sound great; plus, there's the prospect of a knockout fight looming in the next issue. This title has been dealt dirty by the vagaries of world events, but the latest issue is a big payoff for fans who have stuck with it. Read Full Review

The Champions defeat Kamala's Law and (almost) shut down Roxxon. There's still a big ol' robot fight on deck for the next issue, but the team goes ahead and celebrates the win here. The plot's not particularly compelling, and the script could have done more to fix that. It treats the characters nicely, though, and the art is fantastic.

This isn't bad, really. It's just boring. It feels like work to wrap up the whole CRADLE thing, which is only happening because of COVID basically ending the whole Outlawed initiative before it even began.
