Carnage #6 finds the sinister symbiote descending into Niffelheim and offers a surprisingly deep meditation on the theme of identity. The scope of Ram V's story continues to grow without ever alienating the readers. For such a wild ride, Carnagehas progressed so steadily that the inclusion of Norse goddesses and mythological creatures doesn't feel jarring in the slightest, which is an impressive accomplishment, to say the least. Carnage #6 keeps things going as Carnage's trail of destruction leads them to the Norse realm of the dead and Malekith the Accursed. The story follows Detective Jonathan Shayde for a while before shifting back to Carnage's fight with the forces of the dead. The new art from Rog Antonio feels in line with Francesco Manna's art and makes everyone in the comic look good. Read Full Review

Even though I'm continuing to wonder more about where this series may be heading, Carnage #6 is at least filled to the brim with more ridiculous action sequences, which makes for an enjoyable read. Read Full Review

It's a nice, brisk little sojourn in Hel. The art is smooth and clear. The prose isn't my particular brand of purple, but I can respect the effort invested. I think the author was hoping to creep me out more than he did, though. "Carnage is *so* evil that even the gods tremble at his ineffable awfulness" yadda yadda yadda.

Every time we get a new issue I feel less interested. I like the first 2 or 3, but it just seems so off to me. I can respect the concept. I just need better execution.
