Captain America #19

This issue of Captain America excels at being both an end to an amazing run, and a launching point for the character into new adventures. For a new reader picking up this book, it doesn't feel like an end, so much as a beginning, and an exciting one at that. Issue #19 of Captain America is phenomenal. Ed Brubaker ends his legendary run beautifully, leaving you feeling satisfied and depressed at the same time. Steve Epting is the perfect artist to end this run and Frank DArmatas colors are impeccable.Its very hard to say goodbye. This is by far one of the greatest runs on a superhero book of this generation. I will never forget the feeling of immense gratification after reading his first issue of Cap. Thank you, Ed Brubaker. Captain America never truly goes away, and in November, Marvel are starting over with issue #1. At the helm is writer Rick Remender along with artist John Romita Jr. I’m fans of both men but, sadly, they have already failed. his wasn't a book about a man, out of time, cracking skulls. Brubaker shows, especially with Issue #19, that Captain America is one of the great American symbols and completely irreplaceable both for comics and modern American mythology. Read Full Review

An amazing issue, if someone were to ask me what Cap issue will best define what kind of man Steve Rogers is, this is the one I would recommend. Absolutely perfect characterization! Read this to wash your mouth from the last years of Cap comics, it's a breath of fresh air. And the art from Epting is absolutely gorgeous!

An all-around fantastic and emotionally-inspiring issue. Books like this remind me of how much I am going to miss Brubaker on this title. Au revoir Brubakoir!

The last 8 or so issues were horrible so it’s good to see Brubaker go out on this amazing and emotional yet simple issue
