Captain America #24

This issue might not have as much to do with Civil War as might be expected, but it does deliver another interesting chapter of Brubakers Captain America epic (is it too soon to be using that word?). Though there isnt a whole lot happening here, some interesting questions are asked, and the Red Skull recruits a new ally. Captain America #24 is a Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde comic book. The parts that deal with Brubaker's existing storyline are great. The parts that deal with the Civil War storyline are boring. Brubaker has failed at trying to mesh together the two separate storylines. Having said that, I know that once these pointless Civil War tie-in issues stop that Captain America will return to be an excellent read. Read Full Review

Ed Brubaker handles his villains with such care and and thought and he knows exactly the story he wants to tell with them. Main reason while this series has some of the best villain work ever and I’m glad the Civil War tie-ima have wrapped up even though they get better and better every issue
