Oct 27, 2006Captain America #23 was a slightly above average read and wasn't too bad compared to your average Civil War tie-in issue that we have gotten on some of the other titles. Having said that, I cannot wait for Civil War to end so it can continue on with Brubaker's intriguing plotline involving Lukin and the Red Skull. Right now Civil War is just getting in the way of Brubaker's wonderful story that he was weaving on this title. Read Full Review

An intriguing tie-in to Civil War that focuses on Bucky Barnes. Although these tie-ins are not as good as the regular Captain America issues, Captain America 23 takes advantage of Civil War and gives us an issue that lets us inside Bucky's head. He's no Steve Epting but I do love Mike Perkins' art as well
