An entertaining and satisfying finale to Kid Cable's journey. I'm gonna miss this book. Gerry Duggan did a great job really making me care about a character I initially felt no investment in whatsoever.

I'm no fan of Gerry Duggan but I have to give him some credit, he finished this exactly as I wanted. I like Old Cable but I also found Kid Cable pretty entertaining and I was afraid one of them would have to go. Luckily that's not the case. I also liked how Stryfe begged amnesty because imo the mutants are pretty shitty regarding clones. They're people too and deserve the same grace monsters like Sinister or Apocalypse got.

This was a solid run, that was unfairly maligned by people who just wanted Old Cable back. This series gave Kid Cable a lot of development, and look, all the whiners got Old Cable back so it turns out he wasn't gone forever. Color me shocked!

I know this was a bit rushed but I kind of like how the dynamic between Stryfe and Cable exists. They appear at any point in time and nobody can ever know where it begins or where it ends. Just wish it had more room to buffer out.

The two Cables go their separate ways after killing a Stryfe with their family's help. It's a mess of satisfying little bits of plot and character development, with pretty good art tying it all together. There's perhaps one too many future story hooks. Deadpool is pretty blah here and this version of Stryfe was annoying. But the Esme relationship ended up compelling and the overall concept of Cable v. Stryfe as an unending war across time is cool. We're back to Grunkle Cable as our primary Cable, but as Kid Cable points out, "You know when to find me."
