Nadler and Thompson toss us in a time machine, taking us back to 1991 and, for many of us, our childhood, revisiting one of the teams that made the 90s so memorable. Its a fun book, with tons of nostalgia, and a great chapter in this arc. Ill definitely be sad to see them go! Read Full Review

This feels like I'm back in the 90's reading my New Mutants/X-Force comics. For someone who has read that series this is awesome and a treat, but I do question if this isn't a bit confusing for someone who is picking the title for the first time. For me it's perfect, so I'm giving this high praise as easily a top ongoing Marvel series.

Very solid Cable issue. This arc has done a great job of keeping up the action/suspense while giving some good character moments throughout. Overall, very balanced and keeps you engaged. Look forward to the next issue, it is just a shame that it seems to be the last.

This is the best Cable book from Nadler and Thompson so far. The thing that stands out most to me in comparison to other current Marvel books is that the different characters have distinct voices. This shouldn't be such a big deal but compared to almost every other Marvel book today this is unheard of. If Tom Taylor wrote this book all the characters would speak exactly the same. Cable would speak like Shatterstar, who would sound just like Boom Boom, who talk just like Warlock. The fact that these writers took the time and care to give each character their own unique and historically appropriate voice makes Nadler and Thompson two of the best writers currently working at Marvel. It's a shame that this book is getting canceled while garbage books like Iceman get renewed. I also appreciate how the writers mined past X-Force continuity. And the art's not bad. more

Cable flashes back to the time Metus ruined his first Danger Room run with the X-Force team. This does a decent job recreating the feel of that title without subjecting us to full-bore Liefeld visuals. I was hoping for a little more forward progress in learning about Metus, though. Decent character insights for Cable and solid art all around hold this above average.

This is all well and good but Cable needs to learn how to talk about his feelings.
