A few slip-ups aside, MacKays work on Black Cat has been delightful. The sixth issue in the series continues to show the writers gift for emotional intricacy. Felicia is one of the more interesting characters in the Marvel Universe right now, and a lot of her appeal seems to be coming directly from MacKay. Read Full Review

Furthermore, it's interesting to see Felicias inner dialogue while she's traveling through Manhattan and her thoughts on Spider-Man. Some issues that are not plot-heavy can feel like they drag on, but Black Cat #6 was a very enjoyable read. Whether she's facing the literal end of the world or a more personal, metaphorical apocalypse, I trust the Black Cat to face the music with courage, wit, and audacity. That's exactly what her creators set her up to do in this issue. GREAT Mag! Great story. I have been a fan of Felicia Hardy for yewars since Spiderman 258 when Petey's symbiote suit webs Felicia to stop her from leaving. I just wish the artists could be brave enough to present distinctive boobs and anatomically correct features. No I am not asking for naked. But the art of Felicia sometimes looks unfinished. Political correctness always wins I know. 9 out of 10.

The fallout from the heist-gone-wrong is fully unpacked, and Felicia finds herself in a world of trouble. Friends become enemies and enemies become allies and the race is on to save Manhattan, with Felicia trying to shoulder as much of the burden as possible. The dialogue is priceless; I love it to pieces. The plot slows down toward the end, though, and I'm not really enjoying the art. I almost always dislike "celebrity stunt casting" in comics, and the most notable thing about this example is that it's difficult to swipe celebrity likenesses while also delivering so little detail.
