This comic book accomplishes what comic books are supposed to accomplish. If you are like meand want to jump on board, I recommend it. Don't let this series slip under your radar. I was so lookin forward to Al Ewing tackling the Inhumans over in ROYALS. While Mr.Ewing hasn't disappointed (he HAS to write the inevitable return of the Fantastic Four) it is BLACK BOLT which has, truly, blown me away every month. ...and BLACK BOLT #8 may have been my favorite issue so far...Beautifully written and drawn with an equally stunning cover. SCORE: 8.9

Black Bolt's return to Earth starts with a New Attilan episode, complete with misunderstanding brawl. It's written and illustrated beautifully, but it's largely another connective episode. It was about to slide down to "good, not great" in my mind, and then we got a firecracker of an emotional scene with Black Bolt and Ahura. It's heartwarming but wonderfully nuanced and it's a firm reminder that these are great creators telling a remarkable story.

The pace was a little weird for me for this issue, but I still really enjoy reading this book. Ahmed writes Black Bolt beautifully and it feels like BB's heart is on every page. I am interested in Ahmed keeping up his amazing quality of writing when he needs to establish a new supporting cast for BB. The art continues its jarring and unique style. Sometimes I love it and some pages don't do it for me, but I always get the feeling the writer and artists are trying to create. Such a superb book should be on everyone's buy list and this book is also a good recommendation for those who are not so into the superhero genre but may want to explore it. You can jump into this story on this issue but you will be doing yourself a HUGE favor by rea more
