Jan 23, 2019While I've enjoyed the Avengers as of late, Aaron can reach another level when he's really focusing on a single character and their journey. Read Full Review

Jan 23, 2019AVENGERS #13 succeeds in its depiction of a uniquely tragic origin story. Aaron's storytelling is masterful, and I'm absolutely hooked now on these prehistoric Avenger stories. And Andrea Sorrentino completely nails the artistic side of things. Don't miss this issue. Read Full Review

Mar 19, 2019This is another reason that Jason Aaron's needs to be writing the adventures of the Avengers 1,000,000 B.C. I am now a fan of this Iron Fist and would love to see more of her in another book or series. The visuals are incredible, with the art and colors breathtaking. The letters are good, though the lack of sounds does diminish their joy. Marvel, why isn't Aaron doing Avengers' stories set in the distant past? This is recommended reading. Read Full Review

Jan 23, 2019This issue continues to prove Aaron's ancient Avengers are not only an intriguing new idea but a necessary one. The exploration of this team is exciting due to its ability to add a mythical nature to the mighty Avengers. Knowing Aaron he probably has this team's future plotted for many trades and I for one will be ready and willing to read them all. Read Full Review

Jan 23, 2019Jason Aaron takes a break from his main Avengers story to tell a tale of the Prehistoric Iron Fist. This Iron Fist single handedly protected primitive humans from the dangers of the prehistoric world with the skill and ferocity that Danny Rand wishes he had. Here's hoping that Jason Aaron has an individual story for all the Prehistoric Avengers before his run ends. Read Full Review

Jan 24, 2019Similar to the ancient Ghost Rider issue, these 1,000,000 BC books have a finer lining to them and soft colors in contrast to the bright and bold art style of the present day Avengers. I'm curious where the creators are leading with these looks into the prehistory, but for now we'll worry about next issue. . . VAMPIRE CIVIL WAR!!! Read Full Review

Jan 25, 2019Going back to 1,000,000 BC at this point in the run felt seven issues too late. We get an Iron Fist origin that was a chore to get through and didn't feel important at all. In a book that has been struggling to stay focused, this trip backwards didnt help. Read Full Review
