Out of love for Marrina, Namor attempts to reason with the Leviathan-beast she has become. Although touched by Namor's feelings, the Avengers decide to step in. Dr. Druid is now haunted by the "woman of his dreams" during the day.

(Cover Date: June, 1988) Summary: While the leviathan attacks Miami, Namor warns the Avengers not to harm it, then follows it underwater. The Avengers debate whether the leviathan should be killed. Captain Marvel decides to try to save Marrina. They contact Dr. Hank Pym for help. The leviathan destroys a freighter & then a naval squadron after it is fired upon. Looking for the leviathan, the Avengers arrive to rescue the surviving crew members. Sitting by the now sunken navy ships, Namor realizes that he must set his love for Marrina aside & perform his duty.
