ASTONISHING X-MEN #16 is a seriously funny book thanks to Rosenberg's stellar writing. It continues to be a fun series, and a standout in a sea of X-Books. Frank D'Armata's colors steal the show this issue! Your mileage may vary when it comes to enjoyment of this issue, though, because the tone is so light. If you want to read a heavier X-Men series, look elsewhere. Read Full Review

Non stop action and humor highlight another great issue of the Rosenberg and Land run. The book is fun while never loving the quintessential 'X-Men' tone. Read Full Review

Astonishing X-Men #16 combines great characterization with some fun action, and thoroughly entertains. It has a few problems, but not enough to sink the book. Rosenbergs handling of Havok is a highlight, and theres enough little twists and surprises in this one to keep readers invested. The art could be better and the villains could be more filled out, but that doesnt detract very much from how enjoyable this issue is. Read Full Review

To conclude, this was a good issue of Astonishing X-Men and definitely set us up with one heck of a cliffhanger. There is a promise of an epic battle and an opportunity for closure. I can not wait for the next issue. Read Full Review
