Dec 05, 2015The main problem with Angela: Queen of Hel so far is that it doesn't hold your hand in telling its story. Sometimes that's fine, but when you're dealing with characters as relatively obscure as Angela and Sera, a little help would be nice. Bennett writes about some pretty important but complicated events as if we should have them memorized. She's not taking advantage of the new #1 at all. Wow what love can do! I'm so happy that there is some LGBT realness in Marvel. It's awesome to see Sera's soft and girly side mixed with Angela's directness and tough demeanor. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!

This issue was a real turn off to me. I don't understand all the positive reviews. The way Bennett tells the story not in order is very confusing. Like, why is Angela fighting these trials anyway? The only reason I'll be back for issue 3 is the last page reveal of the return of Leah from Gillen's Journey Into Mystery!
