Spider-Man and Loki make a great team. That was true during J. Michael Straczynski's time on Amazing Spider-Man, and it's true now. This issue makes the most of each character's respective status quo as they briefly join forces, even as it continues laying the groundwork for "Go Down Swinging." It's a shame this team-up couldn't have been explored in a lengthier format, but it's plenty of fun while it lasts. Read Full Review

I wanted to like this issue more than I did. Coming out of the previous issue, I was hoping that there would be more substantive storytelling leading up to the big Norman Osborn arc, but this issue felt rushed. The Loki/Spider-Man dynamic was handled well but the issues with Peter's job and relationship with Bobbi felt lazy, especially the latter. Read Full Review

Most of the attention of this issue will come from the developments that occur in the final pages. On the surface, the attention is understandable as it has some intriguing possibilities. Although It does reek of the worst of the 90s coming back to haunt us. Dan Slott has proven he can take what may seem like a bad idea and make it into something special. With his limited time left on the book he may be giving himself his biggest challenge. A noble pursuit if anything else. Read Full Review

I'm seriously hoping that this is the last time we see a filler issue like this and the next one is where the story really goes forward. Superior Spider-Man was one of (if not THE) best stories Slott has ever written, and I am expecting that same level of writing with Threat Level Red. So far, nothing of that caliber is being presented, and given how Slott handles his stories the past few arcs, I get the feeling it may stay that way for quite a while longer. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man #795 does very little to move the needle when it comes to the "Threat Level: Red" story arc. Even with the few positives Amazing Spider-Man #795 does have are overshadowed by the lack of interest created for how "Threat Level: Red" will close out Dan Slott's run on the series. And the little development we do get at the end of the issue does nothing to create excitement for Norman Osborn's endgame to destroy Spider-Man's life. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man continues to trudge onwards toward its 800th issue, doing whatever it can to fill the space between now and then. This isn't a recommended read, no matter how good the art is or how much Loki is in the comic. Give this one a pass. Read Full Review

Enjoyable side issue that doesn't advance the plot much. Art by Hawthorne that's easy on the eyes. I especially liked the vibrant colors by Marte Gracia.

A really solid issue. I enjoyed it. It had humor, action and mischief. Cant wait to see whats going to happen with Norman. This is going to be awesome.

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR AMAZING SPIDERMAN #795. Ok first of all what i would like to say is that the cover for this book looks AMAZING!!! Alex Ross does it again! Second of all, i enjoyed this issue more than the previous one. Third of all, when it comes to art (They got a new artist), it was....well...compelling....for the most part. But when it comes to the faces.....it is horrible. Like Loki's face looks like a guy who got drunken and Bobbi Morse on the other hand, looked like a zombie. Aunt May? Well she is old....so that is acceptable. Norman Osborn? Uhhhh? Is his face really like that? But the colouring is good though. So well, we see Peter's desperate life again and.....wait for it.....he broke up with Bobbi M orse? Why! Whats up with Peter and girls? They broke up because they dont have anything in common? They both are superheroes? They both save people? They both have good heart? Ok whatever.....i really wanted to see more of the lunch with Aunt May and Bobbi Morse though, that would have been fun. Loki....loki as always is one of my favourite characters....cant wait to start reading the Dr Strange: Loki Sorcerer Supreme series (dont ask me why i havent read it). Oh yeah, the art on Carnage looks so cool too. Things i didnt like about the book is that it had too many dialogues. Which i thought for the most part didnt feel important or relevant to be read. But overall a fun read and it was much more memorable than the previous issue featuring Zodiac. more

This arc is less an ongoing story than a series of one-shots linked by brief foreshadowing about the upcoming Carnage/Osborn fight. This one, in which Loki manipulates Spidey through some do-goodery, is quite satisfying on its own. Loki comes off well - definitely evil doing good for selfish reasons - and Peter's bearing up well under a harsh run of Parker Luck. The visuals are the ceiling on this issue, though. They do well with bug fighting and smirking Loki, but they don't bring enough emotional weight to the end of Peter's current romance. The script lets us down there as well; the "we discovered we have nothing in common" excuse doesn't satisfy at all in this case.

Not too bad, though the art, while still quite good, wasn't as good as Immonen's. Great to see something from way back ago finally having a followup. The final page made me really excited about what's coming next, and I really hope it's going to be good.

I agree with Herushalaim; these last issues feel less like an arc and more like cleanup. The Loki plot is dull and I lost interest quickly. The ball was dropped with Bobbi just as I was getting used to her and the art is substandard for this series. Let's hope that Slott can end it well.

Probably the most pointless comic I’ve read this week, seriously the comic didn’t even need to happen, it seems Slott just really wanted to complete this plot thread from a few years ago rather than leaving it someone who actually knows what they’re doing with this story

The ending was pretty good, art/scene at the end was decent and the set up was okay, but Peter/Spidey is in the hurt locker right now. Just bad character development with our favorite web head. Glad Slott is leaving, but at the same time hoping he can nail his last Spidey storyline (leap of faith, I know)
