  I like that is continues on from the last -1 issue in regards to Peter's comic interest but there isn't really a whole lot of substance to the story. It's not bad, it just doesn't do anything for Peter, his family or those he would end up meeting in the future which is the whole basis behind these issues. To get glimpses into the people before they became who we know them to be. The only really interesting part of the story revolves around Kingpin and a journalist at the Bugle I don't recognize. It may be a call back and I'm looking forward to see it pay off but none of that really had anything to do with Peter.

  I don't know, it wasn't that good as I expected it to be. Seeing Joe Bennett's art from 1997 was kinda cool, but the story might be much better. The issue barely concentrates on Peter's past - it's even more about how the Kingpin took the grip of the criminal world. Also this issue sets-up the third Rose. Though it still gives us a few new moments with uncle Ben, it's really not that much too really love this comic. Yeah, Peter was a comic book fan. For a... a few days? Okay. He wanted to be a hero and he will be, it was cool to see him as a 12 yo kid dreaming about a costume and fame. Especially if you know that he'll get the costume, but be no famous (more like infamous). But me myself personally don't like how he got the idea for his web -shooters long ago before the spider's bite. Sorry, not a fan of writers using such backdating. The last 3 pages is a good addition to the story, but it's still pointless. Yet not bad. more
