FLASH GORDON #15 sticks the landing. Jeremy Adams concludes his run with an issue that respects both the character's pulp adventure roots and the emotional investment readers have built over 15 issues. The sacrifice Flash makes feels earned rather than arbitrary, and the bittersweet farewell to Mongo carries genuine weight. This is how you end a run: with consequence, emotion, and respect for everything that came before. Adams leaves Flash Gordon in a place of heroic completion. That's a hell of a goodbye. Flash has a chance to return everything regarding the recreation of Mongo. He has a final battle with Dark Flash, including using the monkey bars. There were some really good issues in this run, but the conclusion was pretty lackluster. Jeremy concludes his run with this issue over over a year. The best thing that came out of it, in my opinion was robot Zarkov. I thought that was a great idea. I'm not a fan of the designs for Ming and Aura. My question is: Now that they are returning to Earth and everything is reset, does that mean that Dan Abnet is taking over from scratch and pretending that Jeremy's run never happened, or will there be a time jump where they return to Mongo. If that's the case, why have them return to Earth at all? more
