Feb 27, 2024Agott and Coco are finally friends and building each other up in this volume, and they are a powerful force to be reckoned with when they put their minds together. Agott has a lot of knowledge and practice at magic while Coco is strong-willed and quick on her feet. The two cement their friendship as Agott is bullied by a former rival, and the scene is the perfect example of the tyep of character each witch has become. There isn't much in the development of Custas and his predicament, which is disappointing considering this volume is shorter than some of the others have been recently. Things are still precarious between the witches and the King, so that thread is still dangling, and the cliffhanger at the end promises to stir up more trouble between the two forces rather than see them come together.
