    All-Comic - Milo Milton Jefferies

So aside from the fairly underwhelming, but still enjoyable fight scenes between Sara and The Darkness, Witchblade #181 is another excellent issue. Once again, this book continues to prove itself as the best comic that youre not reading, and (although you may want to go back and check out the first issue in this arc first if youre not already up to date) as a result, comes highly recommended. All that being said, however, I really do wish that the fight between Sara and Jackie (rather than just its results) had been more epic. Though to be honest, I'm not sure the final confrontation between them could ever have lived up to anyone's expectations. In the end, readers who were anticipating a thrilling climactic battle (myself included) are instead treated to a decent scrap followed by a great setup for the dark days ahead. Read Full Review

    Comic Bastards - Allen Wiggs

This comic is horrible. There is zero consistency to it. Sara seems to not care about any of the stakes at hand, she just randomly shouts about how Jackie is going to end the world, and how what he did with Hope is wrong. But there isn't a single panel where she looks like she really cares. The ending is abrupt, she just walks off because the issue was about to end. Leaving her daughter with Aram, a guy she didn't trust last issue, but now is cool with? I guess him being a skilled item rack makes him a good guy now? Also aren't the big bad Ancient Ones still a threat? I just don't get it! Read Full Review

Daaamn, that's a sucky end to Jackie. What's with the sword, where the heck did that come from? Talk about lazy writing, what should be a huge issue ends up being completely half-hearted and unearned.
