From writer RYAN O'SULLIVAN (Turncoat, The Evil Within, Warhammer 40,000) and illustrator PLAID KLAUS (Turncoat), comes the story of Ana and Gabe, the last two humans left alive in the galaxy. They're low on fuel, they're low on food, and they're low on psychedelic space froot, but they're still determined to make it to the promised land: hippy-paradise, super-planet Euphoria. This is the story of their journey, the friends and enemies they made along the way, and how the universe responded to those who dared to live freely within it.

Writing from Ryan OSullivan and art from Plaid Klaus keeps this comic engaging and throwing curveballs at every turn. Its not easy to pull a reader in completely with a single issue but Im fully convinced that this will be a great read. Unfortunately, though the end is already in sight since this will be only 5 issues long but Ill be waiting for Issue #2 in December. Read Full Review

The art of Ryan O'Sullivan and Plaid Klaus' VOID TRIP #1 is absolutely phenomenal. Although at times the characters feel a little clich, they do not feel overdone or out of place. The story is a fun and funny adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Read Full Review

We've always said that the best science fiction comes when the human story underneath is just as powerful as the out-of-this-world setting in which the story takes place. Void Trip is a perfect example of this. Searching for a higher meaning in a galaxy that has forgotten them truly benefits Ana and Gabe. Plus, the companions they keep ensure that the backbone of the story is quite light, cutting in with brilliant lines of dialogue and comedic moments that would fit perfectly in a stoner movie. If you're looking for a wild adventure spanning across the galaxy, but also takes time to develop its characters in genuinely interesting ways, we could not recommend this more. Read Full Review

Void Trip #1 is an enjoyable and entertaining read that will leave you craving more. The characters are perfectly suited for one another, giving off a vibrant and bubbly energy that will have you in stitches. I'm very intrigued by their mysterious pursuer and why he wishes to ruin the fun for them and what this might mean for their future plans. If you're looking for a fun-filled space adventure with a bunch of space froot munching crazies, then grab a copy and enjoy the trip. Read Full Review

Image Comics have never shied away from books that depict sex, violence or drugs. The pair in this book may very well be metaphoric stoners, and I am sure that will engender them to a raft of readers. Whilst I am an "each to their own" kind of guy, this isn't a subculture I havea lot of experience in, so at times, throughout the issue, I got the feeling that I wasn'tthe target audience. Still, I am not going to let that little fact detract from a well thought out, well put together book. Read Full Review

At the end of this issue Ana and Gabe have been tracked down despite their best efforts, and one gets the feeling that they are both going to experience a big "low", coming down off this excellent "high" of an issue. This book has me intrigued, and I had a blast with its chilled-out vibe. A fun start to the series. Read Full Review

The question of Void Trip, at this point, is whether or not the sweet, sweet taste of froot is enough to turn a one-time customer into someone jonesing for more. And that's going to be an uphill battle for this book, particularly since we've seen similar threads in books like Joyride, Quantum and Woody, or even Image's recently concluded Chew. But there is a certain bit of magic to Plaid Klaus's artwork that makes Void Trip transcend some of its early growing pains, and it's definitely a series I plan to keep an eye on in the future. I don't recommend Void Trip to everyone, but if a mix of psychedelic drug trips, a topless, rebellious bike rider, many robots and lots of sadness sounds like something you'd like " then give it a go. You likely won't find a story quite like this every day. Read Full Review
