Void Rivals #3

Kirkman and team continue to tell a captivating story in this new chapter of Void Rivals. I love the dynamic between Darak and Solila, and appreciate the callbacks to the weirder elements from Transformers G1 & The Transformers: The Movie. The inclusions all seem to have a purpose, moving the narrative along while providing additional enjoyment for those of us who grew up watching the robots in disguise. De Felici and Lopes' art style and color choices are more impressive with each passing issue, ensuring that the outer space adventures of these characters are striking and rich. Read Full Review

Robert Kirkman and Lorenzo De Felici deliver the best issue of this series to date with Void Rivals #3. Darak and Solila continue to stand out as strong leads. The integration of Transfomers is both handled to naturally be part of the development in the story and give fans of the franchise moments to get excited over. The main story itself is decent and gets intriguing at the end but so far it's seeing the connections that have been the real draw. The end of this book really pissed me off. The twist took me completely off guard, but does have me coming back to find out what happens. Kirkman has no problem with turning his characters on their heels and betray someone. The action was decent. Still not a fan of the art.
