END OF STORY ARC

Michelle Metcalf has lost everything, including her powers. But a hero who has lost it all is a hero with nothing left to lose.

This climactic ending to TORRENT's critically acclaimed first arc ends in a way you won't expect and will be talking about for months to come!

Not everything is resolved. Itll be interesting to see where Guggenheim takes Torrent next. As big and sweeping as the first five issues have been, theres quite a lot of room to explore things further moving forward into another story arc. Hes finished a story. Its been good. Where he goes with it from here will determine whether Torrent has a future beyond that first story. Read Full Review

This story arc-concluding chapter ends somewhat predictably, though the journey itself has largely been a good one. Strong illustrations and colors give readers plenty to study while the script will have you thinking about the nature of revenge and what it does to us. Read Full Review

Torrent #5 is a massive disappointment. The fallout from the events from the previous issue are unfortunately not addressed. Rather we get a focus on the predictable resolution of the story. It all leaves you with a feeling that March Guggenheim and Justin Greenwood simply ran out of time to tell this story. That leads to a conclusion that ends up feeling rushed rather than a proper payoff to everything Michelle Metcalf was put through and did over the course of Torrent. Read Full Review

Not a big fan of the globular artwork in this book. I thought the storytelling was clunky. I won't be continuing it. The character is not very compelling.
