Sep 23, 2021Condon and Phillips continue the streak of a perfect series with That Texas Blood #10, which sees the creators working in harmony to create the sense of evil seeping into the fabric of a small town. Its a trope that has been used a thousand times before, but the team mines drama and atmosphere from the simplicity of the story. The darkness thats creeping in feels volatile, and after the almost rhythmic pace of this issue, itll be fascinating to see where the book goes next. Read Full Review

The only disappointing thing about reading this issue was finishing it and realizing I have to wait another month for more. The whole series has been strong, but Condon has been really hitting his stride in the past couple issues.

This issue is the peak of what has been an outstanding series. SPOILER: the scene of a kid being tickled and laughing in one panel to being dead on morgue slab in the next is one of the most heartbreaking and memorable scenes I've ever seen in comics, or any medium for that matter.
