    Newsarama - David Pepose

With its sterling characterization and its down-and-dirty artwork, Southern Bastards is a must-read series - and of that must-read series, this issue might be one of the strongest yet. There's such a wonderful sense of pressure and tension to this series at this point, even as Aaron and Latour have veered from the lone antihero story of Earl Tubb and moved into murkier waters thanks to their brilliant Coach Boss arc. If you pick out one book this week, make it this one. Read Full Review

The story continues to amaze and the art continues to match the gritty tone of the book. The duo of Aaron and Latour can do no wrong when it comes to this superb series, so I'll always forgive the schedule this book has. Read Full Review

Just when you think the series is going to go in one direction, Aaron and Latour shifts things and the end of this issue is one of those. Where things are going and how it'll play out? We'll have to wait and see and I'm counting down the days. Consistently one of the best comic series on the market. Read Full Review
