Saga #47

Even as we are almost 50 issues and several years in, Saga is still, somehow fresh and one of the best comic books you can read each month. The marriage between familiar and new characters, the humor and sadistic inclinations of them and Staples consistently great art make this one of the few must read books for comic fans. Saga continues to be an excellently written, beautiful drawn book that is really hard to critique from month to month. I will say that this issue does contain one profanity that I would prefer not be in my comics, but I do understand that this is by no means a comic for children. Read Full Review

Another great issue of "Saga," I liked the way Vaughan told the story here, with his torturer extracting unexpected truths from the Will. The opening pages do a great job in character building. Fiona Staples has never not been awesome throughout the 47 issues of this series. It's easy to underrate this book because of the lofty heights it has reached over the past few years, but this one shows that even the average issue of "Saga" blows almost the rest of all comics away.
