Sep 12, 2017It's hard to rate something so early in its run because so many things are purposely left undefined. But every box was checked for me and I'm completely sold on seeing what happens next. Redlands is creepy, beautiful, intriguing, and all kinds of messed up. Read Full Review

Horror DNA - James Ferguson
Sep 22, 2017Redlands is like a supernatural True Detective with a tinge of Silence of the Lambs thrown in. It works as a solid cop drama and is only intensified by the occult abilities of the three main characters. This is a horror comic to watch. Read Full Review

Sep 10, 2017Del Rey's artwork is the perfect fit for this R-rated horror mystery. The blood flows deep, and the contrast here makes for a great landscape for Bellaire's thrilling tale. If blood and nudity aren't your cup of tea, perhaps a different drink is needed, as this book has plenty of both, but all warranted for this modern day horror story. Read Full Review

Sep 13, 2017Redlands #2 dives straight into an intense and gritty story, that is both engaging and immersive. I'm curious to see how this story will unfold and where things will go from here. It's hard not to like what Jordie Bellaire and Vanesa Del Rey have created, with its compelling story-telling, complex characters and striking art. Read Full Review

Sep 18, 2017For me, this is horror's highest calling. Where do you draw the line? Which set of murderers should we be cheering for? Sympathizing with a character who goes on to murder the folks she should be saving is unsettling. The men fighting demons are worse than demons. That's Redlands, messing with you. Placing powerful hooks in your heart and then tugging hard to see which side hurts worse. Read Full Review

Sep 18, 2017'Redlands' is emerging into a unique horror experience where you don't know exactly what will happen next. Bellaire and Del Rey are wringing every ounce of tension and suspense in every scene. The premise has unfolded with some unlikely protagonists, a charming but deadly antagonist, and one bloody twist after another. This is 'Charmed' meets 'Hannibal' which makes 'Redlands' a must-buy. Sep 12, 2017. Redlands may not be the best book hitting the stands, but its first two issues have both been solid and consistent, with a mystery that has me curious. It's that mystery that makes this book worth checking out, and has me hopeful the pay-off will all be worth it in the end. Read Full Review

Sep 13, 2017Clearly this book isn't for me, but I'm going to keep on trucking, hoping that it will progressively improve, and that maybe this is just a rocky start, but maybe you'll like it if you want to see cartoonishly men get what they deserve, and witches, who are by no means benevolent, bring their order to an, otherwise, man's world, this may be the book for you.
