Del Rey's artwork is the perfect fit for this R-rated horror mystery. The blood flows deep, and the contrast here makes for a great landscape for Bellaire's thrilling tale. If blood and nudity aren't your cup of tea, perhaps a different drink is needed, as this book has plenty of both, but all warranted for this modern day horror story. Read Full Review

For me, this is horror's highest calling. Where do you draw the line? Which set of murderers should we be cheering for? Sympathizing with a character who goes on to murder the folks she should be saving is unsettling. The men fighting demons are worse than demons. That's Redlands, messing with you. Clearly this book isn't for me, but I'm going to keep on trucking, hoping that it will progressively improve, and that maybe this is just a rocky start, but maybe you'll like it if you want to see cartoonishly men get what they deserve, and witches, who are by no means benevolent, bring their order to an, otherwise, man's world, this may be the book for you. A great follow up to the debut issue. This is looking like a very, very solid horror series. I'd recommend picking up a copy of #1 and #2 if you haven't already.

This is a dark, intriguing second issue; we are still left very much into the dark surrounding what is exactly going on here, but this issue is creepily captivating. I wasn't sure what to think after the first issue, but this installment roped me in. I love the Del Ray art, and am fascinated by the world Bellaire has begun to build.

The first issue reeled me in completely showing me what these witches are capable of. But, this 2nd issue slowed down a bit. That's not a bad thing necessarily because we get introduced to a few new characters which seem to be very interesting and the beginning of the present time storyline. The first half of this book is engaging but it ends with a question mark in my head; I don't mean that in a pleasant way as I was genuinely confused. I'm looking forward to the next release.
