You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Apr 15, 2026

Wagner did a hell of a job making Jess one of the more appelaing characters in the first issue. Killing her off at the end of that issue may have ben really frustrating, but it serves as a powerful emotional anchor for the beginning of a series which appears to show a great deal of potential moving forward in to its third issue. They mystery has yet to reveal a great amount of the substance of the mystery. It IS still possible that the plot will lose some of its charm once the story really gets going, but the first two issues feel fairly brilliant. Read Full Review

The Comic Book Spot - beastfire

Narco, with its first two issues, is definitely worth a read. May cause rampant theorizing, but that’s half the fun (other half being the artwork). Narco #2 is an excellent continuation of the story, and I do love a nice juicy mystery. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Chris Coplan

While it may be slower and less obviously bonkers, 'Narco' continues to be this dedicated, nuanced exploration of loss, personal growth, the nature of crime stories, and how opossums are dope AF. Read Full Review

    Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell

    Apr 15, 2026

Narco #2 does a good job of drawing the reader into this world and keeping them on the edge of their seat. The pacing is a little quick, which takes away some of the suspense that should have been built up. However, even with that detraction this is still a fun and mysterious whodunnit that most readers will enjoy. On top of the actual story, the horror movie inspired covers are also super cool and will be a welcome addition to any collector’s collection. Grab a copy at the LCS this week and give this story a shot, it should more than meet your expectations. Read Full Review
