It's not exactly a light read, but it is very impressive on every front.

Really close to reaching that next level of being "great," but not quite there. Still really good and well-done, though. I continue to be incredibly invested in this world Liu & Takeda have crafted, and I don't see that stopping any time soon. While the world is super cool, the characters make it all the better. Maika, Kippa, and Ren are an entertaining trio and I'm really enjoying their dynamic thus far.

We learn more about Maika's lineage and upbringing, flush out the mythology some more with these weird parasitic demon thingers, then shove off to explore the super spooky island, oh boy!
