Low #26

It is a satisfying ending that hits all the right notes. A somber, sobering type of optimism that feels so very appropriate for 2021. Low was one of the first indie comic book series I started reading when I was first getting into comics and to be able to see it through to its bittersweet end and to have that emotional catharsis means a lot to me as a reader and reviewer and fan. I really enjoyed this ending of this issue, which is a relief because I wasn't really enjoying the beginning. We got beautiful moment between Della and Stel that was honestly so well done. A happy ending for a bleak yet optimistic story. It's a shame Greg Tocchini's art took a real nosedive in this final arc...it was absolutely gorgeous throughout the first few arcs, but it grew sloppy and rushed in the final issues. While this story was definitely much stronger towards the beginning, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and consider it another winner in Remender's already impressive portfolio.
