Lazarus #13

I can't stop raving about Lazarus! The series has done some great building of both the characters and the overall world up to this point, and that's been an amazing ride, but this creative team is just getting started, and issue #13 is solid proof of that. Greg Rucka doesn't just have a firm grip on the world and characters he's created, but he's giving readers intimate details of these creations, and the more I know about it, the more I love it. Lazarus #13 is a wonderful example of a fantastic collaboration between everyone working on the series. While this story arc doesn't do much in terms of action, the suspense and overall drama unfolding is fascinating. With an ending like this, you're you'll likely be hanging on the edge of your seat, or cursing the creators for making you invest so much into their story It's really an under appreciated book and I cannot recommend it more. Instead of what could have been a meeting of 16 terminators, Lazarus #13 portrays a breadth of personality and expressiveness that makes each Lazarus feel even more human than their scheming lieges. A surprise order from Malcolm to Forever at the issue's end ensures that the Conclave's arc continues to move at a steady pace. As the summit seems to be drawing to a key point, I expect well see some dramatic elements in the next issue, especially based on Forevers confrontation with Jonah. Seeing how Lazarus is a dystopia, too, I dont expect the romance between Forever and Joacquim to work out how either of them wants. Read Full Review

Lazarus is without a doubt one of the best series currently ongoing. Both Lark and Rucka are on top of their game and it shows on every page of Lazarus. The depth presented in both Lazarus‘s setting and the character's who inhabit it make for a series that keeps readers coming back for more. Read Full Review

Political intrigue mixed with a little romance and I'm loving every page. Forever's father is showing a more caring side, but I suspect it is to further his own plans.
