The journey to Hell's Throne has captivated me beyond belief, each issue generates more and more interest for me and I am now at that point that the book is a definite day one read. The collected issues are available now if you haven't caught up but if you have you definitely need to, at the moment the Spawn multiverse are producing the best work in comics and I am pleased to be able to experience. KING SPAWN #27 pulls back on the plot progression and gives readers a walking tour of Al Simmonss life to remind readers exactly why and how he became Spawn. The tour of Als life makes for an interesting jumping-on point for new and casual readers, but loyal fans may not get much from this issue. Read Full Review

As an older reader that kind of lost interest in Spawn after issue 118 all I can say is welcome back me. Todd’s writing is clear and clean with a tight script that catches the reader up quickly and brilliantly and the art just pops of the page. The script and the art are so closely tied that the words add layers to a visual treat. This is how good comics become great in the future by having an artist that can bring a script to life.
