The end of the world is at hand, and our best defense is a couple of 18-year old superheroes. Let's hope they've got their hormones in check!

You can tell Mark is going through a lot and it's kind of rushed through but I think that's the point. He's kind of cruising through trying to push what he's dealing with down until that ending. Damn.

Kirkman has an ability to write perfect series with many interesting characters when it's enjoyable even when nothing major happens at all. The Walking Dead was kinda made the same way. I really can't understand why he wrote that crap on the Ultimate X-Men run... It was pretty much his type of comics. By the way, great cover by Cho! Invincible looks kinda too adult, but Eve is perfect.

Avanvolk - Apr 24, 2024Watched season one of the show and decided I wanted to read the source material before going any further. Hasn't disappointed yet and only seems to be getting better.
motorik - Apr 24, 2024It is a excellent adaptation. It's very different though. The original comic story is simply better. They've had to make various changes for modern audiences. Thankfully, none of said changes warp it into something completely different from the comic. I'm loving both. Hopefully you do too!
Avanvolk - Apr 24, 2024 (edited)Yeah so far the only differences I've noticed the show made are the pacing/placement of certain events chronologically, an increased focus on the demon detective, and they made William gay and Amber black. I am thankful for having watched some of the show though, because hearing J.K. Simmons' voice in my head whenever I read Omni-Man's lines honestly elevates my reading experience lol
